Woody Burton Rackley was a devoted husband, father, grandparent, and friend. He died of a heart attack on January 27th, 2022 in his home in Chantilly, Virginia at the age of 69.

He was born to Willis and Edna Rackley on May 21st, 1952 in Jasper, Georgia. After graduating from High School, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he fell in love with international travel. After his service, he became a Diplomatic Courier with the U.S. State Department which allowed him to visit nearly every country on Earth. During his travels, he met the love of his life in Bangkok, Thailand: Kitana Sae Khow. Together, they had two children: Roy and Ploy.

Woody loved to travel, eat exotic foods, listen to Blue Grass, and tell funny stories about his adventures. He loved his children and grandchildren very much and would do anything for his family.

A funeral service is scheduled for 4:30 PM on June 1st, 2024 at Cagle Funeral Home, 364 E. Church St., Jasper, GA 30143 followed by Military Honors at his grave at 6:00 PM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, 1440 W. Church St., Jasper, GA 30143.
