Wilma Faye
Voyles
Aug 25, 1943 — Oct 6, 2024
Talking Rock
Faye Voyles, age 81, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on October 6, 2024. Born on August 25, 1943, to the late Mr. George Lester Hammontree and Ms. Josie Neighbors Hammontree, Faye lived a life filled with love, joy, and dedication to her family.
In December of 1958, Faye married the love of her life, and together they spent nearly 67 wonderful years building a beautiful life and family. They were blessed with four children, who were the center of Faye's world.
Faye was a talented painter, creating beautiful works of art that reflected her vibrant spirit. She also had a passion for cooking and enjoyed teaching her kids to cook too. Family dinners were a cherished tradition, filled with laughter, coffee, stories, and the warmth of togetherness.
She loved to laugh, finding joy in even the smallest moments. Her love for old-timey movies and family heritage brought a comforting sense of nostalgia and connection. She found peace and happiness in nature, watching birds, tending to her garden, and admiring the beauty of flowers. She especially enjoyed antiquing and attending Indian festivals.
Her love was endless and unconditional, a true reflection of her kind and gentle heart. She was known for her sweet and pure spirit, yet she possessed a stubbornness that showed her strength and determination. Faye was always happiest when surrounded by her family, smiling, laughing, and creating precious memories.
Her parents, daughter, Terri Voyles and her brothers, Daniel Hammontree, Gene Hammontree, sisters Lila Rylee, Elizabeth Gladden and Marie Klein awaited her arrival in Heaven.
Faye is survived by her husband, Charles Voyles, sons, Jason Voyles, Robbie (Penny) Voyles, daughter, Kimberly Wright, 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her heart. Her legacy of love and wisdom will continue to guide and inspire them for generations to come.
The family will be accepting friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 12 noon until eight at night and Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from eleven in the morning until the service hour.
Faye's funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 8, 2024, at two o'clock with Pastor James Nichols officiating and testimonies of love from her family.
Entombment will follow the service at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum.
