Obituary

Bill Dryden, 77 years old, passed away on September 6th, 2023, in Talking Rock, Georgia, after a long illness with diabetes and Alzheimer's.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Violet Bradberry Dryden; son, James Kirkpatrick Dryden; and grandson, David O'Brian Summerour. He is also survived by his siblings, James Rick Dryden of Willow Park, Texas, and 5 sisters: Janet Lynn Dryden Delaney of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Donna Ruth Dryden Terry of Junction, Texas, Linda Gail Dryden Laumann and Connie Denise Dryden Jenschke, both of Fredericksburg, Texas, and Dee Ann Dryden of Round Rock, Texas.

Bill served in the United States Navy for 6 years and the United States Coast Guard for 2 years. He and his wife had careers in the Lockheed Martin Corporation where they retired. Bill was an accomplished gemologist and custom jewelry designer and maker. He was good at home building, landscaping, gardening, and creating wood and rope sculptures. His talents, personality, and love will be sorely missed by his family and community.

Visitation is Saturday, September 9, from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm, and Sunday, from 10:00 am until the funeral service.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Chris Bradberry officiating.

Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, following the funeral service.
