Obituary

Ms. Wendy Lea Stanfield, age 62, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on July 7, 2025. She was born on February 3, 1963, to the late Bobby Jordan and Lorine Poole Jordan.

Wendy lived a life defined by love, purpose, and generosity. As a proud and devoted mother, her world revolved around her family. She poured her heart into raising them with care and joy, and later, into showering her grandchildren with the same warmth, laughter, and homemade pecan pies she was known for. Wendy found happiness in the simple joys of life—reading her Bible, hunting for treasures while thrifting, and spending quiet moments on her front porch listening to the creek. She found peace in those moments, especially when her family was nearby. A lover of camping under the stars, Christmas, playing pool, and preparing her famous dressing, Wendy brought life and laughter wherever she went. Her kindness was boundless; she helped anyone who needed it, always offering a listening ear or a helping hand. Her dream was to one day open a refuge for those in need—a place filled with the same compassion and safety that she offered everyone she met.

Wendy's legacy is one of love lived out loud. She leaves behind a family who adored her, memories full of laughter and grace, and a community touched by her light. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
