Mrs. Virginia Keller, age 86 of Jasper, passed away Saturday September 2, 2017 at her residence.
Survivors include her husband: Martin Keller of Jasper; sister: Pat Pirkle of Buford; son: Steve Woodliff; granddaughter: Lauren Woodliff; grandson: Matthew Woodliff with wife Kerri Woodliff; great-grandchildren: Avery and Rowan Woodliff; son and daughter-in-law: Michael Woodliff with wife Maria Rachele Woodliff; grandson: Dylan Woodliff with wife Laura Jane Miller, MD; great-grandson: Lucian Woodliff; and granddaughter: Jillian Woodliff with Matt Bailey.
Virginia was a stalwart survivor of the Great Depression in the South. She valued hard work. She was a magnificent quilt-maker. She gifted these quilts to the entire extended family. Her collection of fine ceramics and folk art are highly admired and valued. A naturalist, she taught her children about the wonders of the natural world. She was a wonderful and beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Visitation will begin on Sunday September 10, 2017 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am Wednesday September 13, 2017 at Good Samaritan Catholic Church, 55 N Church Street, Ellijay, GA 30540 with Father Carlos Vargos officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell.
Virginia will always be remembered.
