Mrs. Velma Pettit, age 91 of Marietta, passed away Friday June 7, 2019 at Tranquility Wellstar Hospice.

Mrs. Pettitt is survived by her Son: Jack Pettitt Jr. of Marietta; Daughter: Pamela Schildecker of Atlanta; Brother: Gene Higgins of Jasper; Sister: Jackene Darnell of Acworth; Grandchildren: Steven, Jennifer and Sarah Schildecker; Great-Grandchildren: Nicolas and Adelaia Lastra. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin Monday, June 10, from 11:30 AM until the memorial service hour.

A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, June 10, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Hughes officiating.

Interment will be held at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Velma Pettitt.
