Thomas Wayne Pendley, affectionately known as "Tom," passed away on August 13, 2024. Born in Tate, Georgia, he was the beloved son of Mr. Russell Pendley and Ms. Louise Pendley.

Tom lived a life filled with passion and kindness. He had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, jeeps, jeep rides and taxidermy. Good food was a delight to him, (everything but cheese.) But Tom's true joy came from his family. He cherished his wife, traveling together to explore new places, especially in the picturesque landscapes of Montana. His children and grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he never missed an opportunity to build memories with them, whether through playing with building blocks or having a good bowl of Lucky Charms. Tom was a selfless soul. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, and his love extended to everyone he met. His presence brightened the lives of those around him, and in return, he was deeply loved by all. He had a soft spot for Facebook, where he connected with friends and family. However, thunderstorms were his nemesis, and even the dogs knew to seek shelter in the tub when the thunder rolled. Thomas Wayne Pendley leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unforgettable moments. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Tom's parents and brother Russ awaited his arrival in Heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Gina Pendley, daughters; Leah Blankenship, Mackenzie Pendley, grandchildren; Ashley (Cody) Blankenship, Christoper Gaddis, Sawyer Gaddis, Everleigh Davis, Charley Pendley, great grandchild, Olivia Jett, brothers, Larry (Dolly) Pendley, sisters; Joyce (Ronnie) Chumley, Mary (Tony) Lee and Martha (Jon) Elischer.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Wednesday August 14, 2024, from five in the afternoon until nine at night, Thursday August 15, 2024, from five in the evening until nine at night and Friday August 16, 2024, from nine in the morning until the service hour.

The funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home Friday August 16, 2024, at two o'clock with Chaplin Roland Nelson and Rev. Randy D. Walker officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be; Kelly Chumley, Kody Chumley, Scotty Pendley, Scott Lawson, Darrell Cash, and Cody Jett. Honorary Pallbearers; Christopher and Sawyer Gaddis, Darren Gaddis. Entombment will follow the service at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
