Terry Robert Padgett, a man with a heart full of laughter and a soul steeped in gospel melodies, passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 72. His warm spirit and unwavering sense of humor brought joy to all who knew him, leaving behind cherished memories that will resonate for generations.
Born on November 13, 1952, Terry was the beloved son of Thomas Padgett and Carmen Ray Padgett. He was blessed with a strong and loving family, sharing life's journey with his brothers, John T. Padgett and Ronny Padgett, and his sisters, Carolyn Taylor, Erma Lee Morris, and Sharon Daley. He is now reunited in eternal peace with his parents, his brothers Willy C. Padgett and Marvin G. Padgett, and his sister Ellen Smith, who preceded him in passing.
A lover of gospel music, Terry found solace and joy in its uplifting harmonies, often filling the spaces around him with songs of faith and hope. His humor was a gift, one that brightened even the darkest days and reminded those around him to embrace life with a light heart.
Though Terry is no longer with us, his laughter, love, and unwavering spirit remain etched in the hearts of his family and friends. As we honor his life, we find comfort in knowing that he has found his place in the heavenly choir, singing the songs he so dearly loved.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from four o'clock in the afternoon until seven in the evening.

A graveside service honoring Terry's memory will be held at Four Mile Baptist Church on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at five o'clock in the afternoon.
