Sue Parris, age 86, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2024. Born on April 12, 1938, in Pickens County to the late Mr. William Parker and Ms. Stella Clark Parker.

Sue was a force to be reckoned with, fiercely protective of her family. Known for her spunky yet caring nature, Sue was set in her ways but always good to everyone she met. She was a wonderful lady, a devoted mother, and a loving granny who took care of everyone around her. Sue provided for her family with unwavering dedication and had a passion for cooking that brought joy to many. Her legacy of love, care, and strength will be cherished by all who knew her. Sue's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Thomas McPherson, daughter, Stella Melinda Mewborn and sister, Louise Hood.

She is survived by her sons, David McPherson, Johnny Stephens, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother, Bobby Parker, several nieces and nephews, and friends that became family, Irene Dorsey and Estelle Jones.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Friday September 13, 2024, from five in the evening until nine at night, Saturday September 14, 2024, from nine in the morning until nine at night and Sunday from nine in the morning until the service hour.

Sue's funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home on Sunday September 15, 2024, at two o'clock in the afternoon with Rev. William Blackwell officiating.
