Stacie Sterling, 64, of Montgomery Village, Maryland and Ellijay, Georgia, passed away on July 22, 2026. Stacie had a gift for loving deeply, whether it was the people closest to her or the animals she welcomed into her home. Her ferrets and cats were not just pets; they were companions who brought her comfort, giggles, joy and an appreciation for all creatures. Stacie’s family will remember her as someone who lived life on a grand scale and who came skidding into homeplate with no regrets. She fully embraced her life. She was a caring, loving friend to her many friends (especially in her Maryland life). She gave without hesitation and was always there with kind words and a helping hand. Her wild woman nature and resolute strength made her a steady presence in the lives of all who knew her. She is loved and will be missed by her sister, Debra Sterling, her niece and nephews, Tory, Ryan, Josh and Shay, and her many treasured friends. She will be remembered in every story shared - and there are many - and honored in every act of kindness done in her memory.
