Shelby Duncan, age 85, a lifelong native of the Hinton community, passed away on April 10, 2022.

She was the first Pickens County Senior Center director for 37 years and retired in 2011. She was a loving wife, mother and a friend to all.

She was born February 15, 1937 to the late Boyd and Jewel (Holmes) Thomason.

She is survived by her children, Tim Duncan of Calhoun, Barry and Irene Duncan of Jasper, and Kay and Bob Wetzsteon of Mineral Bluff; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, and daughter in law, Sherrie.

Visitation will be Thursday April 14, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Cagle Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Friday, April 15, 2022 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, with Rev. David Stuart officiating.
