Russell lived a life defined by hard work, kindness, and a deep appreciation of God’s love and mercy.

Mr. Russell E. Walker, age 86, of  Canton, Georgia, passed away on November 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on October 29, 1940, in Enigma, Georgia, he was the son of the late Mr. Willburn Walker and Mrs. Bertha Rutherford Clements. Russell lived a life defined by hard work, kindness, and a deep appreciation of God’s love and mercy.

For twenty-five years, Russell worked in Florida's citrus industry, building a career through determination and perseverance. Following his retirement from the citrus business, he began a second career with Walt Disney World, where he held numerous positions throughout his years of service, until his retirement in 2006. Among his many responsibilities, he took great pride in training others and sharing his knowledge and experience. His strong work ethic, leadership, and positive attitude earned him the respect and admiration of coworkers and friends alike.

Russell was fiercely competitive and loved a good game of Canasta. Whether gathered around a card table with family and friends or watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, he always enjoyed a challenge. He also had a passion for cooking and baking, finding great joy in preparing meals and treats for those he loved. Russell was known for his gentle spirit, his kindness toward others, and his remarkable ability to face life's challenges without complaint. His warm personality made him everyone's favorite patient, and he was beloved by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
