Robert Glenn
Turner
Mar 17, 1945 — Mar 3, 2026
Talking Rock
Robert Glenn Turner, 80, of Jasper, Georgia, passed peacefully from this life, leaving behind a legacy of faith, devotion, and quiet strength. Born March 17, 1945, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, he was the son of the late William Arthur Turner and Claudine Bailey Turner.
A man whose heart belonged fully to Jesus, Robert lived his faith not only in words but in the way he treated others—with kindness, humility, and unwavering love. His belief shaped his life, his family, and the many people blessed to know him.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army before building a long and respected career as a truck driver. He loved the open road, the freedom of the highway, and the satisfaction of honest work. When he wasn't driving, he could often be found with a fishing pole in hand, enjoying the peace of the water and the simple joy of a good catch.
Above all, Robert loved his family. He was a devoted husband, a steady and caring father, and a grandfather whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and warmth. His gentle spirit and generous heart made him a very special man—one whose absence will be deeply felt.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jeff Turner; his sister, Jo Kelly; and two additional siblings who welcomed him home.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Fricks Turner; his daughters, Valerie (Chris) Appleby and Vanessa (Robi) Blond; his sons, Dwayne Turner, Brannon (Sharon) Turner, Paul (Peggy) Mullinax, and Jonathon (Janelle) Fricks; 25 grandchildren; and 15 great‑grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
A celebration honoring Robert's life and rendering of military honors will be conducted Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 2pm at Ludville Church of God, 291 Ludville Rd, Ranger GA, 30734.
