Dr. Renee Lanier passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025. She was 76 years old.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Renee was the daughter of the late James Everson Lanier and Delma Thomas Lanier. She earned a doctorate in psychology and spent her career helping others with compassion and insight. Her work made a lasting impact on many lives.

Renee was also a talented artist who found joy in painting and creative expression. Her art reflected her thoughtful nature and love of beauty.

Above all, Rene loved her family deeply. She is survived by her children: Lori Danielson, Michael Forrestter, and John Mark Holcomb; and her grandchildren: James Russell, Jacie Russell, Liam Forrestter, Alanna Dunham, and Quinn Holcomb and sister, Denise Lanier.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Renee will be remembered for her intelligence, kindness, and quiet strength. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
