Paul Michael
Dely
Jan 23, 1951 — Jul 9, 2024
P. Michael Dely, affectionately known as Mike, age 73, went to be with our Lord and Savior unexpectedly early in the morning of Tuesday, July 9, 2024. He was born to the late Mr. Paul Dely and Ms. Bette Smith Dely on January 23, 1951, in Miami, Florida.
Mike was an example of a man driven by his purpose and faith in God. His legacy will live on through the many stories he shared and the memories of those who had the opportunity to know him. Though he had a tough exterior, his heart was of gold. Mike loved Jesus, his family, teaching, hunting, jellybeans, growing tomatoes and The University of Miami Hurricanes. The love he had for these things was only surpassed by the love he has for his wife. He met Cheryl in school, and they became high school sweethearts marrying in 1972. They spent many years living in Florida and then spent together the last five years in Big Canoe, Georgia, enjoying the wildlife and mountains. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, Da, brother, uncle and friend.
Mike joins his parents and brother in Heaven.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cheryl Dely, son, Aaron and Katie Dely, daughter, Sarah and Eoin Devlin grandchildren; Peyton, Marley and Addison Dely and brother, Sheriff Randy and Jill Dely. Several nieces and nephews also survive to cherish his memory.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Roopville City Cemetery at two o'clock in the evening with his family giving their testimonies of love for him.
The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time.
