Ms. Patricia Waggoner, lovingly known as Pat, of Chester, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, at the age of 90. She was born on November 16, 1935, in Chester to the late Collette McGimsey and Nannie Belle Lee McGimsey.

Pat married the love of her life, Jim Waggoner, and together they built a strong and caring family. She was a gifted organist and choir director, sharing her talent with several churches throughout the community. If the church doors were open, Pat was there—playing, singing, serving, and giving her heart to the place she loved most.

She enjoyed traveling, and Myrtle Beach was her favorite destination. Her home was filled with Bible verses carefully collected on her refrigerator, with John 3:16 being one of her most cherished. Pat adored her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Blackburn Waggoner; her son, James B. Waggoner III; and her parents. Her absence will be deeply felt by her surviving family: her son Jeff and Rhonda Waggoner; her daughter Jeanette and Calvin Philpot; her seven grandchildren and her great‑grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by her cousin, Kay Loving, who was more like a sister, along with many other cousins who will forever cherish her memory.

An inurnment for Ms. Pat will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, South Carolina.
