Mr. Michael King, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. He was born on December 28, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Michael King and Flora Fraley.

Michael was larger than life. He lived with purpose, drive, and a deep commitment to the work he believed in. In the early 2000s, he helped start hospice programs that brought comfort to many families, and later devoted himself to therapy work with children.

His career was important to him, but his greatest pride was always his family, and he carried that pride with the steady dedication of a loving son, husband, and father.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cheryl King; and his son, Nicholas Estel King.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael D. and Tracey King; his daughter, Cheryl Burkhart; and his grandchildren, Anabelle King, Michael A. King, and Tyler Silver. His brother, Raymond Fraely, and his sister, Bridgette Aegerter also survive to cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 12:00 PM until the service hour. Michael’s funeral service will be held in the Robert A. Cagle Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
