Michael Lee Bearden, Sr. passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Michael was very proud of his Scottish heritage, from competing in Scottish Highland Games, to ensuring his children knew of their heritage as well. His favorite things to do were play pranks, tell jokes, and laugh. His years of being a teacher and principal touched many lives over the span of his lifetime. He is survived by his mother, Jean Bearden; two brothers, Damon Bearden and Aaron Bearden; children, Brittany (Matthew) Noto, Leah (Corey) Brennan, Meredith (Michael) Goines, Sarah Bearden, and Michael Bearden, Jr. He had six grandchildren - Kaedynn, Kalib, Elora, Layla, Kaleb, and Mamie. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Bearden, and his wife, Faye "Liz" Bearden.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 15, 2021 at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Preston Jones officiating.
