Mrs. Melba Jayne Roper, 85, of Jasper, GA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 17, 2024.  Melba was born in Nelson, GA, on April 12,1939 to the late Mr. Kendall Champion and Mrs. Vennetta Champion.

Melba was a devoted Christian, belonging to Bethesda Baptist Church in Nelson, GA.  Melba worked for many years as a Hairdresser in Jasper and the surrounding areas.  Her love and sense of humor will surely be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Melba is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Mr. James Morries.

She is survived by her son, Luke Eugene Beck Jr.
