Mary "Marie" Sparks, 77, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on January 9, 2025. Marie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was married to Richard Sparks for 58 wonderful years. Together, they built a beautiful life and family, raising two cherished children. Marie's love for her family was boundless; she found great joy in being a devoted grandma, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.

In Marie's spare time she loved to read and watch old westerns.  Marie was also an avid bird lover and spent hours watching the birds on her back porch.

With her spunky attitude and zest for life, Marie brought warmth and light to everyone around her. She will be remembered for her spirited nature and the joy she brought to her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Wood and Mary Lyle Wood and brother, Michael Wood.

Marie's loss will be deeply felt by her husband, son, Sean (Karen) Sparks, daughter, Cheryl (Jeff) Davis, grandchildren, Amber Wagner, Michael Sparks, Clayton Jeffares and her brother, David (Tricia) Wood.
