Mrs. Mary "Maggie" Rose, age 90 of Jasper, GA, passed away Thursday March 9, 2017 at Gilmer Nursing Home in Ellijay, GA.

Mrs. Rose is survived by her husband: Elmer Rose of Jasper; daughters and sons-in-law: Beverly & Earl Whiteley of Jasper, GA, Jacqueline & Rodney Fly of Lyman, SC, and Brenda Rose of Jasper, GA; sister: Pearl Howard of Jasper, TX; grandchildren: Earl J. & Jackie Whiteley of Charleston, SC, Christopher S & Candace Fly of Duncan, SC, and Amanda N. Pope of Greer, SC; great-grandchildren: Aubriell Whiteley, Abigail Jenkins, Zackary Jenkins, Xander Fly, Luke Jenkins, Addison Pope, and Wyatt Fly; and niece Sherry Rose Jenkins.

Visitation will be held at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, WV on Saturday March 11, 2017 from 12:00 noon until 1:00pm. The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday from the chapel of Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Reed officiating. Entombment at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of Pickens County or the Alzheimer's Association.
