Mary Georgia Patterson

It is with a heavy heart that Cagle Funeral Home and the Patterson family announces the loss of Mary Georgia Patterson of Jasper, Ga., who left the world on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the age of 76 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.

Mary was born on July 25, 1947 to the late Mr. James Carlile & Ms. Bessie Pruitt Carlile in Lebanon, Georgia. Mary was a feisty, humorous but very loving woman. She loved everyone, unless you gave her a reason not to.

Spending time with her family is what mattered most to her, but she also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking, teaching her daughter all of her recipes. Chicken-n-dumplings, banana pudding and biscuits are just a few of her specialities that will be missed by her family, but everything she cooked was always devine.

Mary was greeted in heaven by her parents, precious husband of 55 years, Harold Patterson, daughter, Sherry Patterson, son, Dink Patterson, brothers, Wesley and Leon Carlile and son-in-law, Neal Galloway.

Her memory will live on with her son, Kenny & Kim Patterson, daughters, Pamela & David Gysin, Paula Galloway and sister, Julie Purkhiser, brother and sister-in-laws, Roy Lee and Kathy Patterson, June Ann Grizzle and David Shipman, Tina and Doc Taylor, James Patterson and George Patterson. She also has 7 grandchildren to cherish her memory and 1 great grandchild on the way.

Mary's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Pastor Ross Wiseman officiating.

The interment will be directly after the funeral at Bethesda Baptist church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Monday, March 25, 2024 and Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from four o'clock in the evening until nine.
