With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marun George Mualem, age 54, on December 31, 2024. Born on September 25, 1970, to Elias Marun Mualem and Viviane Milliard Mualem in Warren, MI, Marun's unique artistic vision left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

A gifted interior designer, Marun specialized in lighting and lamps, transforming any room into a vibrant, captivating space. His profound love for antiques and his extensive collection of Lionel trains reflected his deep appreciation for history and craftsmanship. Marun's loving and sensitive nature, coupled with his generosity, endeared him to many. His creative spirit and genuine warmth shone brightly in all his interactions, bringing light and love into the lives of those around him. His beloved French bulldog, Lulu, was a constant companion and source of joy. Marun's legacy of beauty, kindness, and artistry will forever remain in the hearts of family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his father and Lulu.

His loss will be deeply felt by his surviving family, his mother and sister, Marie (Mark) Kinzer and his niece and nephew, Madison and Cole Cumbest. Marun's Celebration of Life will be conducted in the Robert A. Cagle Memorial Chapel at Cagle Funeral Home on January 20, 2025. Visitation is from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. followed by a service and reception. Attire is casual. Please wear something maroon and bring your favorite story or memory to share. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the group home where Marun lived and was lovingly cared for during the last year of his life:
