Talking Rock

Obituary

Lisa Jean Kelley, 62, of Talking Rock, GA went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 28, 2024.  Lisa was born on January 6, 1961, in Tate, GA, to the late Mr. Jesse Walter Fields and Mrs. Martha Buchanan Fields.

Lisa was definitely one of a kind. She was a free-spirited, hardheaded woman, and she probably got that from her daddy. She loved the outdoors, camping, gardening, going to a little creek, walking around in it, sitting outside in the sun amongst all the flowers that she planted.

She was the kind of mama that would call all the kids and tell them about a storm coming their way, to get home and if a tornado warning came on, get the kids and go to the bathtub with a mattress over their heads. She was the kind of mama that if one of her grandchildren would get sick, the kids could call her instead of the kid's doctors, and she would tell them all of her little remedies that would always make them better.

Lisa was the kind mama who would love to ride around and watch the leaves change colors and loved going to the Smokey Mountains looking for Indian pieces and turquoise jewelry. She was the kind of mama who always worried about her kids even when they got older, they would still have to let her know they made it home safely. Lisa was an amazing cook, making everything taste good.  She could always be found on the porch, drinking coffee, and smoking a cigarette. Now she is the kind of mama that will always look over her children and grandkids from heaven with no pain or suffering.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Fields.

Her memory will be cherished here on earth by her husband, Randy Kelley, mother, Martha Fields, son, James "Wayne" Goodwin, daughters; Brandy Sparks, Tabitha Goodwin, and Nikki Leonard, grandchildren; Kane Leonard, Zendaya Leonard, Zayla Rae Leonard, Brittany Sparks, Clay Sparks, Tommy Hancock, Ashley Hancock, Ansley Hancock, Brantley Miller, Zoey Abbott, Jessica Hoyle, Kylie Goodwin and Nyla Goodwin, and great grandchildren; Jaiden, Jackson, Jo Jo, Ava, Able, Paisley, Hunter and Trenton.  Her brother Gary Fields also survives to cherish Lisa's memory.
