Lewis V. Brendle, Jr. of Jasper, age 75, passed away March 14, 2023.

"Lew" was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Sr. and Elizabeth Harrison Barrett Haffey. Lew is survived by his son, Lewis Brendle, III (Bren) and Heather of Ponchachula, LA; and his sister, Ramona Brendle of Cumming, GA.

After Lew's combat service in the United States Army, during the Vietnam conflict, he first joined the City of Smyrna Police Department and later the State of Georgia. He retired an Assistant Commander from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Affinity Hospice, Wickshire Senior Care of Canton, and Danny and Georginna Bruce.

A service is not planned at this time; however, a burial service honoring Lew will be held at a later date.
