With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Ms. Lannie McDaniel, age 60, on May 24, 2025. Born on July 22, 1964, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Kenneth Watkins and Betty Flanigan, Lannie was a woman whose love and kindness touched everyone she met.

She built a beautiful life with her beloved husband of 40 years, creating a family filled with love and laughter. Lannie found joy in the simple things—cutting grass on a sunny day, cooking for those she loved, and watching Facebook videos. But more than anything, her heart belonged to her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment with them. Her love extended to her sweet cat, Tony, who was her faithful companion. Lannie was the true definition of family-oriented, always putting the people she loved above all else. She will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Lannie is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Paul Swilley, William Watkins, and Mitchell Swilley.

Her absence will be deeply felt by her surviving family, her husband, L.C. McDaniel, daughter, Kimberly (Billy) Sprayberry, son, Bret (Lyndsay) McDaniel, daughter, Stephanie Key (fiancé Chase Holmes), grandchildren, Bryan McDaniel, Ansley Key, Rosie Sprayberry, Levi Key, Krissy Cline, Phoebe Key and her sister-in-laws, Sonja Ballard, Penny Williams, and Chandi Watkins.
