Kenny Hammonds, 69, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on January 20, 2025. Born on August 5, 1955, to the late Robert Hammonds and Bonnie Buchanan Hammonds in Kingsport, Tennessee, Kenny was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

As a dedicated heavy equipment operator, Kenny spent his days not just moving earth, but metaphorically, mountains. He was a craftsman at heart, with a keen passion for building and woodworking, creating masterpieces with his hands and love. Whether crafting something new or working on a lifelong project, his dedication to his craft was evident.

Kenny cherished his family deeply. Married to his loving wife for 29 years, they built a life filled with love and laughter. He also adored his dogs—Ellie, Harley, and Susie—who were his constant companions and brought him immense joy. His presence will be profoundly missed but will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James Robert Hammonds and Ronnie Charles Hammonds.

His loss will be deeply felt by his surviving family, wife, Kathy Hammonds, daughters, Bonnie (Morgan) Stowe, Jennifer Hammonds (Terry Hughes), grandchildren, Peyton, Blayke, Claire, Jasmynn, Olyvia, and sisters, Phyllis Parvin, Mary (Tom) Queen and Kathy (Gary) Ball.
