Mr. Kenneth Lee Adams, Sr., age 78, of Jasper passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 At Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
Mr. Adams is survived by his loving wife of 58 Years - Kathleen Ann Adams of Jasper, GA; Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Kenneth L. Adams, Jr & Cathy of Jasper; David W. & Cheryl Adams of Covington, GA; Son: Kris D. Adams of Griffin, GA. Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Sharon A. & Richard York of Plymouth, WI; Darlene M. and Ronald Petersen of Greensboro, GA; Patricia L. & Gregory Daniel of Jasper. Brothers: Dick Adams of Willard, OH; Hobert Adams of Willard, OH; Brother & Sister-in-Law:Fred & Sandra Capelle of New London, OH. Sisters: Helen Banworth of Willard, OH; Carol & Paul Boring of Gainesville, GA; Susie Peck of Chillicothe, OH; Linda Sly of Fairborn, OH. Uncle: George W. Adams of Plymouth, OH. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his mother Agnes Roberts Adams (Capelle, Smith), father Stanley J. Adams; Sister: Louella & Teddy Walker and Dorothy George; Brothers: William and Stanley Adams and Granddaughter: Robbyn Leanne Wood.
He proudly served his country for 12 years in the USAF, where his military career took him to Japan, France, Vietnam and stateside bases. He was later involved in sales and management positions in the corporate world and retired after owning and operating an insurance agency as well as a retail business. He had a passion and interest throughout his life in owning several motorcycles, airplanes and RV's, which led to further travels in the US and for 18 years as a member with RV Volunteers US MAPS with the Assembly's of God. He had a passion for flying that began at a very young age, resulting in his sons loving to fly.
He earned his BA degree in theology at Central Bible College in Springfield, MO and was a licensed minister in the GA and Southern Missouri district of the Assemblies of God.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 16, 2019 and continue until the funeral hour.
Pallbearers: Andy Trent, Jesse Adams, Colin Adams, Kenneth Adams III, Andrew Adams II and Kyle Petersen
Graveside service will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Rusty Sharp, officiating.
