Karen Thomas, 76, of Jasper, Georgia It is with deep love and gratitude that the family of Karen Thomas announces her peaceful passing on Monday, July 14, 2025. Born with a generous heart and a radiant spirit, Karen lived a life full of faith, adventure, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones and community.

A dedicated member of her church, Karen found great joy in volunteering and giving back. Her passion for cooking, camping, boating, horseback riding, traveling, and missionary work reflected a vibrant soul who embraced life's beauty and purpose. Karen had a gift for lighting up every room she entered with warmth, laughter, and genuine kindness.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William B. Martin and Doris Corn Martin.

Karen is lovingly remembered by her husband of 17 years, Steve Thomas; daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Tommy Collett; step-son, Mark Thomas; step-daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Alex McCullough. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Chris and Danielle York, Megan Harrison, T.J. Collett, Michel and Rachel Thomas, Jessica Thomas, Emmett Thomas, Sydney and Caleb Cooper, and Andrew McCullough. Her great-grandchildren, Kenzie Harrison, Taydan York, Colton Harrison, Mathias Thomas, Oliver Cooper, and Elliot Cooper, will forever carry her memory and spirit forward.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 4 to 8 PM at Cagle Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Bush Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery, 3290 Blacks Bluff Road SW, Rome, Georgia 30161.
