Judith
Carver
Dec 5, 1962 — Dec 29, 2025
Mrs. Judith "Judy" Carver, age 63, of Marble Hill, Georgia, passed away on December 29, 2025. She was born on December 5, 1962, in Richmond, Virginia, to Lewis Powell and Hazel Bray.
Judy spent 20 wonderful years with her husband, Jeff. The two of them were truly two peas in a pod, sharing a love that was genuine, steady, and a blessing from God. She was an early bird who enjoyed the quiet of the morning and her first cup of coffee. She loved animals—especially ducks, chickens, and doves—and she found joy in simple moments, like trips to the Smoky Mountains and eating the fresh fish Jeff would catch just for her. Judy was known for her honesty. She never sugar coated anything and always told you the truth, but if she loved you, she loved you deeply, and you never had to wonder about it. She didn't like to see anyone sad, and she often comforted others with her faithful words, "God's got me," a phrase she lived by every day. She loved God, loved talking about Him, and loved to pray. To her, her children could do no wrong, and her family was her heart.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lewis Powell; her sister, Gail; and her brother‑in‑law, Jeff.
Her absence will be deeply felt by her surviving family: her husband, Jeff Carver; her children, Jessica (Emilo) Ferretiz, William (Shyanne) Hunter, Toby Carver, Jody (Tatiana) Carver, and Jeremy (Nichole) Carver; her grandchildren, Jerika ("Nannie's angel"), Abigale ("Bright Eyes"), Adrianna , Jaxon, Slade, Emmie, Xavier ("Nannie's little man"), Tanner, Gavin, Olivia, Hudson, Noah, Jonah, and Mina; her great‑grandchild, Lyla; her sister, Peggy Powell; and her brother, Roger Powell.
The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on: Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 1:00–8:00 PM Thursday, January 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM–8:00 PM Friday, January 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM–12:30 PM
Judith's funeral service will be held at Cool Springs Baptist Church on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Dudley Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be William Hunter, Toby Carver, Jody Carver, Noah Carver, Jeremy Carver, David Merrell, and Roy McArthur.
