Mr. Joseph "Joe" Padgett, age 67, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on February 16, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Tate, Georgia to the late William Padgett and Ora Lee Tomblin Padgett on November 25, 1957.

Joe is survived by his sisters, Wilma Dean (Jim) Barnhill, brothers, Charles (Teresa) Padgett, Larry (Janice) Padgett, Jerry (Brenda) Padgett, Neal (Carla) Padgett, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday February 17, 2025, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, Tuesday February 18, 2025, from 10:00am until 9:00pm and Wednesday February 19, 2025, from 10:00am until 1:30pm.

Joe's funeral service will be conducted at Sharptop Baptist Church on Wednesday February 19, 2025, at 2:00pm with Rev. Nathan Smith officiating. The interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be; Steven Padgett, Shane Padgett, Clay Padgett, Dolphus Padgett, Edwin Padgett and Jimmy Barnhill.

Joe was a man who loved everyone and was loved by all. He found great joy in his nieces and nephews, always bringing smiles to their faces. Joe was honest and direct, always saying what he felt and how it was.

He loved the outdoors, whether it was camping, boating, riding his four-wheeler, or hunting. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and crafting beautiful things with his hands.

Joe will always be in our hearts.
