With a heavy heart we announce the loss of Mr. Johnny Clark, 71, of Jasper. A man who left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was born on August 22, 1953, to the late Billy and Sue Clark, Johnny's journey on this earth was filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished moments.

Johnny married his soulmate, Cathy, on June 29, 1974. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, and they built a life they loved together. Johnny won Cathy's heart with his endearing call of "Hey Punkin." Their love story was one for the ages, embodying the very definition of true love. From teenage sweethearts to lifelong partners, Johnny's devotion to Cathy was unwavering; God truly made the two of them for each other.

From a young age, Johnny was no stranger to hard work. He began working in construction at the age of 14, dedicating his life to providing for his family. Despite his demanding job, Johnny always made time for the people he loved. His family was his world, and he was an amazing husband, father, and Pop. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandson were the light of his life, and he was their hero. Johnny was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, where his faith was a cornerstone of his life. He had a gift for making people laugh, and he had a knack for giving everyone a special nickname. His sense of humor and infectious personality made him a friend to many. He loved deer hunting and coon hunting in his early years, and later enjoyed family trips to the beach. His dogs were like his children, and he cherished their companionship. If you knew Johnny, you loved him, and he loved you right back. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering love will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and the lasting legacy of love and laughter he leaves behind.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Dickie Patterson and Henny Clark, sister, Julia Mead and beloved nephew Brett Mullins.

His memory will live on with his wife, Cathy Clark, daughters, Carrie and Michael Fowler, Ashley Gorth, Daniel Gorth, grandchildren, Hunter and Bailey Fowler, Blayne Fowler and Ravin, Sawyer Fowler, Allie Gorth and Tyler, John Gorth, Shay Gorth, great grandson, Hudson Fowler, sisters, Karen Clark Jordan, Marty and Terry Godfrey, Debra Clark, sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky and William Mullins, Bill and Bay Cagle. Several nieces and nephews also survive to cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Friday November 8, 2024, from four in the afternoon until nine at night, Saturday November 9, 2024, from noon until nine at night and Sunday November 10, 2024, from ten in the morning until the service hour.

Johnny's funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home on Sunday November 10, 2024, with Revs. John Reece and Russell Hood officiating. Interment will follow the service at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum.
