Mrs. Joanne Hightower Henderson, age 59 of Jasper, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at her residence.

Joanne was the first female deputy in uniform patrol for Pickens County Sheriff's Office.

She is survived by her husband, Jeremy Henderson of Jasper; parents, Abe Hightower and Nedene Quinton; son, David Hunter (Jessica Chastain) of Jasper; daughter, Laura Henderson (Jeremy Jones) of Jasper; grandchildren, Evan Teague, Skylar Hunter, Gloria Hunter, and Faith Hunter; several nieces and nephews.

Joanne was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Hightower; and sister, Debbie House.

Visitation is Monday, March 27, 11:00 am until 9:00 pm, and Tuesday, 8:00 am until the funeral hour.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randall Chastain and Rev. Harold Hightower officiating.

Interment will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, following the funeral service.

Pallbearers: Jacob Henderson, Chazz Hanson, Sepehr Rezvani, Danny Childers, Phil Childers, and Randy Mulkey. Honorary pallbearers: Billy P. Wofford and Jerry "Jerky" Walker.
