Mrs. Jimmie Sue Godfrey, age 81 of Talking Rock, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Mrs. Godfrey is survived by her son, Billy Joe Godfrey (Ronda Mullins) of Talking Rock; daughter, Laverda Godfrey (Peggy Schmid) of Cumming; brother, Gary Nicholson of Jerusalem Community; sisters, Charlotte Wilson of Hill City, and Wanda Carver of Jasper; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Godfrey; son, Randy Godfrey; daughter, Donna Garrow; brother, Kenneth Nicholson; and sister, Pete Coker.

Visitation is Friday, March 10, 11:00 am until 8:00 pm, and Saturday, 9:00 am until prior to the funeral service.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 am Saturday March 11, 2023 at Crossroads Baptist Church, with Rev. Buck Parker, and Rev. Charles Holbert officiating.

Interment will be in the church cemetery following the funeral service.

Pallbearers: Andy Johnson, Louis Johnson, Alex Johnson, Ryan Godfrey, Jacob Godfrey, and Kevin Miller.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Crossroads Baptist Church.
