Mr. Jerry Gibson, age 78 of Jasper, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023 at AccentCare Hospice.

Mr. Gibson is survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, Andy & Linda Gibson of Cartersville, and L.C. Gibson of Canton; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys & Lenard Childers of Jasper; brother-in-law, Horace Childers of Jasper; aunt, Mary Lou Pettigrew of Jasper; nieces and nephews, Teddy Childers, Penny Aaron, Dwight Childers, Vickie Smith, Roger Childers, Charlie Childers, Andrea McDaniel, Hope Tew, and Kevin Gibson; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hub & Mary Gibson; sisters, Betty Childers and Patsy Morris; nephew, Doug Childers; great-niece, Allison McDaniel.

Visitation is Tuesday April 25, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Wednesday from 8:00 am until 9:00 pm, and Thursday from 8:00 am until the funeral hour.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Grant Wade, Rev. Buck Parker, Rev. Matt Lathem, Rev. Ronnie Ray, and Rev. James Thompson, officiating.

Interment will be at the church cemetery following the funeral service.

Pallbearers: Teddy Childers, Charlie Childers, Dwight Childers, Roger Childers, Tony Aaron, and Lee McDaniel.
