Mr. Jerry R. 'J J' Buchanan, age 63 of Talking Rock, passed away May 5, 2019 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.

Mr. Buchanan is survived by his Mother: Lona Mae Stamey Buchanan of Marble Hill; Mother of his children: Linda Waters of Jasper; Son & Daughter-in-Law: Randall & Shannon Buchanan of Talking Rock; Daughter: Mary Ann Buchanan of Marble Hill; Brother & Sister-in-law: Larry & Holly Buchanan of Marble Hill; Sister: Janice Taylor of Marble Hill; Sisters & Brothers-in-Law: Linda & Roger Emory of Talking Rock, Lisa & David Amos of Marble Hill; Grandson: Jason Buchanan. Several Nieces & Nephews and a host of special friends also survive.

The family will be receiving friends Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM, Wednesday, May 8, from 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM and Thursday, May 9, 8:00 AM until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers: Joey, Mack, Bo, Randy, Davenport and Brad.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Four Mile Baptist Church, Rev. Aaron Adams and Rev. Curtis Roland officiating.

Interment will be at Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the funeral services.
