With a heavy heart Cagle Funeral Home announces the loss of Mr. Jerry Lee Bennett, who left this world on March 31, 2024 at the age of 74.

Jerry was born on May 29, 1949 as the youngest of eight children to Mr. Herbert Bennett and Virgie Wooten Bennett, in Jasper, Georgia.

Over the years Jerry took on many occupations, one being the first class of EMT students in Pickens County while working at Chapman Funeral Home, then going on to work at General Motors for over 30 years, but most importantly Jerry was a devoted and loving father, son, brother & friend.

Jerry was greeted in Heaven by his late parents, his brothers, James & Claude Bennett and his sisters; Mildred Taylor & Geneva Atkins.

His memory lives on with his daughter, Lea (Andy) Scott, brother, Louis Bennett, sisters; Dorthy Mathews & Bonnie Millians and his lifelong best friend, Donnie Low.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Friday, April 5, 2024 at five o'clock in the evening until nine.

A private interment will be held at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
