Mrs. Jean Childers, age 72, of Jasper, passed away peacefully at her home, Friday, January 11, 2019, after a brief battle with ALS.

Jean was a beloved Mother, Nana, Great Nana, sister, aunt and friend. She was a life long member of Northside Church of Christ in Jasper.

Mrs. Childers is survived by her Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Chris & Dawn Childers of Jasper; Chad & Sarah Childers of Jasper; and Corey & Shannon Childers of Jasper. Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Lisa & John McCollum of Gainesville; Kaylene & Eddie Ray of Jasper; and Gaylene & Jimmy Gleason of Jasper. Brother: Lucky Johnson of Alabama. Sister: Margaret Stone of Jasper. Also Nineteen Grandchildren and Eleven Great-Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Mrs. Childers was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Max, Sons: Mark, Bryan and infant Craig and Granddaughter: Taylor Childers.

The family will be receiving friends Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Sunday, January 13, from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM, and Monday, January 14, from 8:00 AM until the funeral hour.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, January 14, in the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel. Preacher Terry R Burress will be officiating.

Interment will be at Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the funeral services.

The family will receive flowers or donations to Cagle Funeral Home to help with expenses of funeral.
