Helen Gorman, age 98 of Clarksville, GA, formerly of Paterson, NJ passed away on Saturday August 28, 2021 at her residence.

Helen was born in Bronx, New York in 1923. She was a resident of Paterson, New Jersey for over 30 years before moving to Georgia where she spent the rest of her life. She worked for a number of years before choosing to be home with her children.

Helen enjoyed crocheting and has crocheted hundreds of blankets for her family and friends. She also enjoyed being outside and spending time in her garden as well as cooking in her kitchen. She will be remembered for her fighting spirit, her devotion to family, her witty sense of humor and her impressive stash of Root Beer and Twizzlers. She will be incredibly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her four children: Charlotte Travis, Geraldine Rahm, Charles Grieder Sr, and Robin Smith. She also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Gorman; her daughter Helene Aughey; one great-grandchild, and her parents: Anthony & Mary Barbara Sztathaus.

Visitation is Thursday, September 2, 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.

Pallbearers: Jonathan Smith, Wesley Smith, Charles Grieder Jr, Benjamin Smith, Jack Hansen, and Adam Kennedy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's.
