Ms. Gwen Young, age 59 of Marble Hill, passed away Sunday December 18, 2016 at her sisters home in Waleska.

Ms. Young is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: Dewayne & Melissa Johnson of Jasper and Shane Dodd of Marble Hill; daughters: Veronnica Blackwell of Woodstock and Danielle Dodd of Ellijay; brother and sister-in-law: Nathan & Marlene Turner of Ball Ground; sisters and brother-in-law: Delona Griffin of Acworth, Ann & Lee Pratt of Waleska, Fairy Poole of Jasper, Delta Turner of Marble Hill, and Mary & Vaughn Ortagus of Emerson; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Young was preceded in death by her parents RW and Evelyn Turner; and brothers Larry and Lee Turner.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 21, 2016 from 2:00pm until 10:00pm and on Thursday from 8:00am until prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Dawson County with Rev. Gary Keown officiating. Interment at Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
