Mr. Gerald (Buffy) Scott Childers, age 49 of Jasper, passed away April 26, 2019 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.

Gerald (Buffy) is survived by his Mother: Barbara Jean Childers of Jasper; Two Step-Sons: Artie Rozzelle of Jasper and James Rozzelle of Carrolton. One Step-Daughters: Misty Rozzelle of Carrolton; Brothers & Sisters-in-Law: Raymond & Jane Childers of Fairmount; David & Vivian Childers of Ludville and Lamar & Kerri Childers of Hill City Community: Sisters & Brother-in-Law: Ruby & David Helton of Gurley, Al.Sisters: Lisha McClure of Hinton and Michelle Evans & fiancé Robert Wishon of Ellijay: Five Step-Grandsons: Several Nieces & Nephews and Great Nieces & Great-Nephews also survive.

The family will be receiving friends Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Sunday, April 28 from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM.  Monday, April 29, from 8:00 AM until the funeral hour.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, April 29, 2019 in the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bobby Timms and Rev. Chris Pack officiating.

Pallbearers: Robert Wishon, Austin Padgett, Mitchell Wilson, Chris Wilson, Cody Wilson, James (Bub) Long, Raymond Carlile and Jamie (Dexter) Carlile.

Internment will be at Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.

The family will accept flowers but prefer donations be made to Cagle Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
