Obituary

Gaye LaVelle Quinton, passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 65. Born in Houston, Texas, Gaye eventually made her home in North Georgia, where she dedicated her life to her family and her community. Gaye was the kind of person who poured her heart into everything she touched. She worked at the Jasper Kroger for 13 years, She was the familiar, hardworking face behind Georgia Delivers,a business she built from the ground up to help her neighbors. But at home, she was simply the center of our world. A true artist at heart, Gaye was never happier than when she was working on her latest jewelry piece or craft project. She had a special way of knowing exactly what someone needed, and nothing made her smile more than gifting one of her handmade creations to a friend or family member. Her hands were rarely still, and her home was always full of the love and creativity she so generously shared with all of us. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robby H. Quinton; and her five children: Renee Jordan- Pile, Lauren Borel, Matthew Pike, Caroline Jewel, and Emily Pike. Gaye’s greatest pride was her fourteen grandchildren: Nate, Morgan, Sophia, Bradyn, Alyssa, Aleah, Juliette, Annabelle, Samson, Elias, Tahlia, Nikolai, Nova, and Carson. Gaye was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Cynthia Maree Jordan, and her precious grandson, Zaiden Lyle. Following her wishes, Gaye will be cremated. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date to honor the warmth and creativity she brought into the world.
