Gail Lynn Sanford

Gail Lynn Stanford (Dunman), age 67, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, to Robert Eli Dunman Jr. and Gracie Mai Dunman. Gail lived in Longwood, Florida, and Ellijay, Georgia, before making her home in Cartersville.

Gail loved her grandchildren dearly and found joy in collecting lighthouses. She was a devoted caretaker of her family, made friends easily wherever she went, and had a deep love for country music—especially the songs of Alan Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Eli Dunman Jr. and Gracie Mai Dunman; her sisters, Connie J. Butler and Janice C. Boles; and her brothers, Robert E. (Eugene) Dunman, Robert B. Dunman, William D. L. Courtney, and Robert E. (Bobby) Dunman III.

Gail is survived by her husband, Joe E. Stanford Jr.; her daughters, Angel A. Clark and her husband, Jody, and Ashley M. Webb and her wife, Audrey; her grandchildren, Kyle A. Tillotson, Hannah N. Lane, Tyler E. Tillotson, and Joshua S. Clark; her great-grandchildren, Noah, Italiana, Violet, La’Bella, Serafina, and Hudson; and her sister, Melody L. Bond. No services are planned at this time.
