Gail
Holbert
May 6, 1950 — Jul 10, 2025
Fairmount
Gail Holbert, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on May 6, 1950, passed peacefully on July 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and deep devotion to family. She was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. James Harrison Goins and Mrs. Opal Moses Goins.
Gail's heart was as open as her door—she talked to anyone, cared for everyone, and never knew a stranger. Known fondly around Jasper for her many years of cheerful service at McDonald's, she greeted generations with warmth, humor, and genuine love. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by family, watching her favorite shows—Judge Judy, The Young and the Restless, As the World Turns, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Price is Right—while country legends like Tammy Wynette and Dolly Parton played in the background.
She was a keeper of memories, treasuring photographs of her grandchildren and passing down stories and traditions with pride. Her love was fierce, her laughter contagious, and her belief in the goodness of others unwavering.
Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Holbert; daughter, Lisa Adams; brother, Jimmy Goins; and sisters, Beverly Wagoner, Wanda Milrainey, and Linda Goins. She is survived by her son, Joey Holbert; daughter, Kelly (David) Goodnoe; grandchildren, Jessica Adams, Morgan Goodnoe, Lacey Goodnoe, Marissa Holbert, and Amelia Holbert; great-grandchild, Emersyn Ledford; brother, Wayne Ray; and brother-in-law, Carmen Wagoner.
Friends and loved ones are invited to honor Gail's life during visitation at Cagle Funeral Home on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and again on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. A funeral service celebrating Gail's remarkable life will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM in the Robert A. Cagle Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joseph Hightower officiating. Following the service, Gail will be interred at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery in Jasper.
Gail's legacy lives on in the love she gave, the stories she shared, and the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
