Evelyn Victoria "Vicki" Williams Wilson, age 73, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family in person and in spirit on June 28th, 2024. Vicki was born to Walter and Ruby Williams on February 22, 1951 in Nashville, TN. Vicki grew up in Decatur, Georgia and attended Lakeside High School and then graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wake Forest University in 1973. Vicki went on to achieve great career success in the field of insurance and retired as Vice President for Property & Casualty at General Reinsurance Company. Vicki is survived by her stepdaughter and son-in-law, Laura and Trey Murdaugh of Charleston, SC; stepson and daughter-in-law, David and Amanda Wilson of Nashville, TN; grandchildren Hudson Wilson, Ellie Murdaugh and Grace Murdaugh. Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruby Williams; her brother Scott Williams; and her husband of 29 years LeRoy "Lee" Wilson. She will be remembered as a kind and deeply caring wife, stepmother and friend. The family would also like to extend their deep appreciation for the years of support they received from caregiver Sulaine Sims and all the wonderful staff at Georgia Mountains Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.
