Mr. Eugene Cantrell, 82, of Jasper, GA went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 11, 2025.  Eugene was born to the late Mr. James Harvey Cantrell and Mrs. Ellen Hopkins Cantrell on May 13, 1942 in Ellijay, GA.

Eugene was a loving husband, father, and Paw Paw.  He loved antique cars and went to many car shows throughout the South East.  Most of all, Eugene loved his family. Eugene spent many hours working in his yard and on his house especially after his retirement from Georgia Marble after many years of service.  Eugene will surely be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Eugene is preceded in death by his parents and many brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann Johnson Cantrell, Daughter, Annette (Russell) Sanford and sons; Randall (Tina) and Michael (Connie) Cantrell, grandchildren; Chris Plumley, Donald Parks, and Payton Hall, great grandchildren; Kennedy Plumley, Savannah Plumley, Paisley Parks, and Piper Parks.  Eugene's brother, Larry Cantrell also survives to cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from five o'clock in the evening until nine.

A graveside service for Eugene will be conducted at Sunrise Memorial Gardens on Friday, February 14, at two o'clock in the afternoon with the Rev. Evan Howell officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be: Russell Sanford, Derek Hall, Donald Parks, Keith Cantrell, Scotty Cantrell and Steven Cantrell.
