Mr. Emory Ray, age 90 of Tate, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Grandview Health Care.

Mr. Ray is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy & Hazel Ray of Talking Rock, William & Debra Ray of Canton, Eugene Ray of Dawsonville, and Allen & Janni Ray of Hill City Community; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Maxie of Dawsonville, Dolores & Donald Jones of Tate, and Melissa & Harold Violet of Tate; nineteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Ray.

Visitation is Monday, May 2, 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and Tuesday, May 3, 8:00 am until the funeral hour.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. A.B. Stewart officiating.

Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.

Pallbearers: Dustin Violet, Craig Jones, Travis Jones, Jamie Ray, Jeffery Cowart, and Jason Cowart. Honorary pallbearer: Scott Violet.
