Elizabeth Opal Boling Gettle (1935 – 2025)
Elizabeth Gettle (to her family, Bo), age 90, of Lady Lake, FL, went home to be with her Lord on November 17, 2025.
She was born in Tate, GA in 1935 to Robert and Elizabeth Boling. She soon moved with her
parents to Atlanta. As a child, she loved going back to Tate to visit and spend time with her
grandparents, Emma and Walter, on their farm. Her love of animals was immense, at one
point owning over 20 dogs. Her family would refer to her as the female Grizzy Adams as
any racoon, deer, or other woodland creature would always find their way to her.
Liz was preceded in death by Robert Boling, Elizabeth Boling, and Robert "Bobby" Boling,
and survived by her sister Jean Clark of Lady Lake FL, Sharon and John Burress of Lady Lake
FL, Diane Burress of Tavares, FL, and Rachel Burress of Salt Lake City, UT.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11AM, Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Cagle Funeral Home is honored to serve the Gettle Family.
