With deep sympathy Cagle Funeral Home announces the passing of Mr. Eldon Eugene "Red" Jarrett, age 82, of Jasper, Georgia on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

Red was born to the late Mr. Joe Wilson Jarrett and Mrs. Madeline Wehunt Jarrett of Nelson, Georgia on November 21, 1941. Red was a devoted and loving husband, son, father, grandfather and brother. He was a sports fanatic, enjoying all things football and baseball, with the Atlanta Braves being his favorite. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Red was reunited with his wife, Wanda Bailey Jarrett, of 53 years, his daughter, Rebecca Leigh Jarrett, and his loving dog Allie.

He leaves behind his daughters, Paula (Marty) Dean, Vicki (Tony) Golden; brother, Roy Lee Jarrett; grandchildren; Justin (Kira) Dean, Erin (Aaron) Lohman, Tyler and Vanessa Golden, and Isabelle Galloway; and great-grandchildren, Kase and Kylie Dean and Lane Lohman. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive to cherish Red's memory.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Shipman officiating.

The family will receive family and friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 5 o'clock in the afternoon until nine, and on Friday, May 17, 2024 from ten in the morning until the service hour. The interment will follow after the service at Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery.
