Doug Neighbours, a beloved resident of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on August 12, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on July 20, 1954, to Dean Neighbours and Bettie Hill Neighbours.

In his youth, Doug was a fearless soul who pushed the limits. He had a passion for fast cars, particularly Camaros, and embraced adventure with daring enthusiasm. As time went by, Doug mellowed, finding joy in simpler pleasures. He loved spending time outdoors, tending to his yard, and sitting on the front porch, listening to country music legends like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Fleetwood Mac, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Doug lived a life rich with experiences and cherished memories. Doug's daily routine included trips to Home Depot and Walmart, where he enjoyed browsing and connecting with family and friends around town. However, his favorite part of the day was breakfast at Annie's—a cherished tradition that brought comfort and warmth. Above all, Doug treasured his family. His grandkids held a special place in his heart, and their laughter and love brightened his days.

Doug Neighbours will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, love of family, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Doug's, parents, brother, David Neighbours and sister, Lucy Barrett awaited his arrival in Heaven.

He is survived by his daughter, Christie Parker, grandchildren, Taylor(Clay) Wigington, Brant Stanfield, Weston Hatfield, great grandchild, Rylan Wigington, brother, Wayne(Kaye) Neighbours, sister, Jan(Pressley) Ridgill and sister-in-law, Freda Neighbours.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Wednesday August 14, 2024, from five in the evening until nine at night and Thursday August 14, 2024, from 10 in the morning until the service hour.

Doug's funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home on Thursday August 15, 2024, at two o'clock in the afternoon.

Entombment will follow the service at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
